Directory entries are starting points for checking a provider’s suitability. Inclusion does not establish accreditation, certification, regulatory approval, endorsement or a commercial relationship with European Standards.
How organisations are selected
Informational entries are selected from publicly available information about services relevant to the directory’s categories. Descriptions should identify the service offered, the organisation concerned and the limits of the available evidence. A provider’s presence in a category does not confirm suitability for a particular project.
Where a listing gives a source or review date, use it to understand the evidence available at that time. Provider services, locations, personnel and credentials may change.
Informational and commercial listings
An informational listing does not mean that the organisation has applied to join the platform, pays European Standards, has agreed to receive introductions or has approved the description.
Our commercial placement rules require clear commercial identification and sponsored qualification of paid links. Payment buys the agreed visibility service; it does not establish technical competence or determine independent editorial conclusions. European Standards has a separately disclosed catalogue relationship with Genorma.

Checks to make before appointing a provider
- Confirm the legal entity, operating location and person responsible for your project.
- Verify any accreditation, certification or notified-body designation in the relevant official register, including its current status and exact scope.
- Check that the required method, product category and service are covered at the location carrying out the work.
- Agree the deliverables, exclusions, languages, availability, price, data handling and contract directly with the provider.
A group brand or general company description does not establish that every subsidiary, site or service has the same credentials.
Names, logos and trademarks
Company names and logos identify the organisations described. Their respective owners retain their rights. Displaying a name or logo does not imply endorsement or partnership.
Displayed logos and brand icons are checked against official company sources. Where a usable mark cannot be verified, the listing displays the company name instead. A logo check confirms visual identity; it does not verify accreditation, certification or the suitability of a service.
