Payment and Refund Policy
1. Payment route
Approved payments are completed through the checkout route shown by European Standards. Card information entered on a Revolut-hosted checkout is processed by Revolut. European Standards records the order identifier, amount, currency, status, invoice information and refund references needed to administer the contract.
2. Profile, banner and visibility packages
No payment is requested for the initial Professional Partner Profile, Banner Placement, Category Visibility Package or Multi-Category Visibility Package application. European Standards first reviews eligibility, location, scope and available inventory. Checkout is issued only for the approved service. If European Standards cannot activate the paid approved scope and no reasonable replacement is accepted, the unprovided portion is refunded to the original payment route.
3. Sponsored Technical Article deposit
The initial €500 payment reserves editorial scoping, topic suitability review and claims review. It is credited toward the approved article total, which starts from €1,750, unless the approved order expressly states otherwise. Before substantive review begins, a cancellation request may qualify for a full deposit refund. After documented review or scoping begins, the reasonable value of completed work and non-recoverable committed costs may be retained, with any balance refunded. If European Standards rejects the topic without providing the reserved review service, the deposit is refunded.
4. Event and other reservation deposits
A review or reservation deposit for an event or tailored programme pays for reserved review, scoping or planning capacity and is credited toward the agreed total unless the approved order says otherwise. Refund treatment depends on completed work and non-recoverable committed costs.
5. Remaining balances
No article publication, event launch or campaign activation occurs until the final scope, disclosure, production requirements, price and payment schedule are agreed. The remaining balance becomes due only at the milestone stated in the approved order.
6. Customer delay or cancellation after approval
If the customer delays approved assets, evidence or approval, European Standards may propose a revised launch date. Where inventory has been reserved or production work has started, cancellation may be subject to the value of completed work and non-recoverable committed costs. Any refundable balance is calculated against the approved order and documented delivery status.
7. Lead-wallet credits
Wallet funding is prepaid service credit, not a bank deposit, electronic money or investment. Credit is deducted only after the approved partner explicitly accepts an eligible project and sees the applicable fee. No negative balance or silent deduction is permitted. Unused, undisputed credit does not expire while the approved account remains active unless an order clearly states a different rule.
8. Wallet closure and unused balances
When an approved account is closed, the partner may request return of the unused, undisputed balance to the original payment route, less accepted-project fees, valid adjustments and any amount that cannot lawfully or technically be returned. Identity and transaction checks may be required. The target processing period is 14 business days after the amount is reconciled, although the payment provider may take additional time.
9. Disputes and duplicate charges
Suspected duplicate charges, incorrect amounts or unrecognised transactions should be reported promptly with the order reference. European Standards will review the server-side payment record and issue a correction or refund where validated. A chargeback should not be used to avoid a good-faith contractual dispute that can be resolved through the stated process.
10. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are normally sent to the original payment method and currency. Processing times depend on the payment provider and receiving bank. Tax documents will be corrected where required. No payment credential should be sent by email.
11. How to request a review
Send the legal operator the organisation name, order or payment reference, amount, date, reason and supporting evidence. Do not send complete card numbers, security codes or account passwords.
