Sponsored Content and Commercial Disclosure Policy
1. Clear disclosure
Paid Professional Partner Profiles, banners, partner placements, sponsored technical articles, expert contributions, webinars, roundtables, newsletters and other promotional material are labelled so a reasonable visitor can understand the commercial relationship.
2. Editorial independence
Sponsorship does not buy factual conclusions, standards interpretation, regulatory advice, editorial ranking or a right to conceal the commercial relationship. European Standards may edit, qualify, reject, postpone, correct or withdraw material for accuracy, legality, quality or audience relevance.
3. Evidence and claims
The sponsor and contributor must support material technical, performance, environmental, legal, certification and comparative claims with current evidence. Claims must stay within the contributor’s competence and the scope of any cited certificate or accreditation.
4. Professional Partner Profiles
A profile states the approved company and service scope and links to the provider’s own website or approved contact route. It is a commercial listing, not accreditation, certification, official appointment, regulatory approval or editorial endorsement. The provider must report material changes that make a published claim inaccurate.
5. Banner placements
A banner or partner placement is displayed only in the approved location, format and period and is clearly labelled as commercial or sponsored. A banner link does not affect organic editorial ranking and does not imply endorsement of the destination.
6. Sponsored Technical Article process
The initial €500 deposit reserves topic, audience, claims and editorial-scope review and is credited toward the approved total, which starts from €1,750. Publication requires approval of scope, evidence, disclosure, final draft, licensed assets and the remaining balance. Payment does not guarantee topic approval, traffic, leads or rankings.
7. Article publication period
The standard availability target is at least 12 months from publication. European Standards may correct, relabel, update, archive or remove material earlier where required by law, evidence changes, material inaccuracy, third-party rights, security, serious policy breach or major site restructuring.
8. Rights and licences
The contributor retains ownership of original submitted material and grants the rights reasonably needed to edit, publish, promote, archive and report on the agreed service. Third-party material must be properly licensed and attributed.
9. Events and attendee data
Registration information is collected and used under the applicable privacy notice. A sponsor receives personal attendee data only where a lawful basis and clear notice permit it. Aggregate engagement reporting may be provided without disclosing unnecessary personal data.
10. Corrections and withdrawal
Material errors should be reported promptly. Corrections, labels or withdrawal may be used where needed. Refund treatment depends on the completed review or production work and the Payment and Refund Policy.
