Important: This page governs a commercial operating process and should be reviewed by qualified legal and accounting advisers before it is treated as final contractual language.
Commercial Programme Terms
1. Business-only service
Professional Partner Profiles, banner placements, sponsored technical articles, visibility packages, lead-wallet, event and campaign services are offered to persons acting for a business, professional practice, public body or other organisation. By applying, the applicant confirms that the purchase is connected with professional or commercial activity.
2. Contract formation
An application or enquiry is not automatically accepted. A contract is formed only when European Standards confirms the approved scope and either receives the required payment or issues a written order or proposal accepted by both parties. The approved order, proposal or checkout summary forms part of these terms and prevails for its specific scope.
3. Eligibility and evidence
The applicant must provide accurate identity, service-scope, geographic, competence and evidence information. Approval may be refused, limited, suspended or withdrawn where evidence is incomplete, misleading, expired, outside the requested category, or creates legal, quality or reputational risk.
4. Service locations and public periods
- Professional Partner Profile: a dedicated public page under the Partner Directory and one approved partner category. The standard public period is 90 consecutive days from first publication.
- Banner Placement: one agreed page or page group, position, format and destination link. The standard period is 30 consecutive days from confirmed launch unless the approved order states another period.
- Sponsored Technical Article: one dedicated article URL with clear commercial disclosure. The standard availability target is at least 12 months from publication, subject to correction, legal removal, outdated evidence or major site restructuring.
- Category Visibility Package: the approved profile, category pathways and one agreed placement for 90 consecutive days from the confirmed package activation date.
- Multi-Category Visibility Package: the approved profile, categories, pathways, placements and contribution under the written scope for 90 consecutive days from the confirmed package activation date.
There is no automatic renewal. Any extension or replacement term requires a new written agreement or approved order.
5. Operating targets
Published review, drafting, launch and publication times are operating targets, not guarantees. A target begins only after European Standards has received a complete application, the required evidence, approved assets and any payment due at that stage. Clarification, evidence issues, unavailable inventory, third-party delay or late customer approval may change the schedule. European Standards will communicate a revised target where reasonably practicable.
6. Deliverables and inventory
Only deliverables stated in the approved order are included. A profile, category, pathway, placement, report, article, contribution or review is limited by the location, format, duration, asset requirements and inventory confirmed in writing. Equivalent placement may be proposed if agreed inventory becomes unavailable. Unused deliverables do not automatically carry forward unless the approved order says so.
7. Professional Partner Profile
An approved profile may show the company name, logo, introduction, approved services, countries, languages, website, optional public business email, provider category and evidence references. The applicant remains responsible for accuracy and must report material changes. The profile is a clearly disclosed commercial listing and does not create accreditation, certification, regulatory approval, exclusivity or editorial endorsement.
8. Customer obligations
The customer must supply timely, lawful and accurate text, claims, evidence, logos, images, banner artwork, article sources, speaker information and approvals; maintain required licences and insurance; respond to project opportunities professionally; and avoid misleading accreditation, endorsement, certification or exclusivity claims.
9. Editorial independence and disclosure
Payment does not buy factual conclusions, standards interpretation, regulatory endorsement, hidden sponsorship, editorial ranking or control over independent editorial decisions. Commercial profiles, placements and sponsored materials will be clearly disclosed.
10. Prices, tax and payment
Prices and payment stages are those shown in the approved order or checkout. Applicable VAT or other tax is identified at checkout or on the invoice according to the transaction and customer information. Payment is processed through the disclosed payment route. The Payment and Refund Policy forms part of these terms.
11. No guaranteed outcomes
No service guarantees leads, traffic, impressions, clicks, registrations, rankings, article approval, project awards, revenue, exclusivity or any regulatory result. Reporting describes recorded activity and does not guarantee future performance.
12. Suspension and termination
European Standards may suspend or terminate a service for non-payment, material breach, unlawful or misleading claims, misuse of personal data, security risk, repeated poor response quality, loss of eligibility, sanctions risk, or conduct likely to harm users or the platform. Where reasonably possible, the customer will be given an opportunity to remedy a remediable breach.
13. Intellectual property
Each party retains pre-existing rights. The customer grants a non-exclusive licence to use approved names, marks, materials and contributions only to deliver and promote the agreed service. The customer warrants that supplied material may lawfully be used. Final editorial material may be corrected, labelled, archived or withdrawn for legal or quality reasons.
14. Confidentiality and data protection
Non-public commercial, technical and personal information must be used only for the agreed purpose and protected with reasonable care. Each party is responsible for its own data-protection obligations. Qualified-project data must not be resold or used for unrelated marketing.
15. Liability
Neither party excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that rule, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss caused by inaccurate customer material, third-party systems or events outside reasonable control. Any contractual liability cap must be read with the approved order and applicable mandatory law.
16. Force majeure and service changes
A party is not responsible for delay caused by events outside reasonable control. The parties will cooperate on a reasonable revised schedule or replacement deliverable where possible.
17. Law and disputes
Spanish law applies. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution by email. For business-to-business disputes, and where legally permitted, the courts of Granada, Spain have jurisdiction. Mandatory law remains unaffected.
